Azingro has been set up in 2018 and leverages on 130 years of expertise in the agro, food & feed industry through the Vanden Avenne family. 

Since Zeno Vanden Avenne pioneered in 1889 in the grain business, the family rapidly expanded into animal feed production. Today, the Vanden Avenne family name stands for a cluster of independent companies, specialized in food & feed chain activities, such as food production, grain trading, animal nutrition and biofuels. 

With the acquisition of Impextraco by Marc and Yves Vanden Avenne in 1987, the family ventured into the field of micro-ingredients and raw materials. Our agribusiness knowhow and entrepreneurial spirit built a solid foundation in this industry. 

In 2018, we expanded our focus on micro ingredients and raw materials into the food sector, with the start of Azingro. Azingro & Impextraco are sister companies, located at the same headquarters in Belgium, near the port of Antwerp.
